7 Recommendations: (1) For ESP students who have a strong interest in computer programming, we recommend that you read CS1101C Programming Methodology as an UEM in your first year. This foundation module for computing will enable you to take other computer programming modules in the future. (2) For ESP students who wish to embark on a research career, please consider doing an Undergraduate Opportunities Research Programme (UROP) project. To find out more about UROP and the available projects, please go to URL: (3) ESP students without GCE A Level Chemistry are required to read CM1417 Fundamentals of Chemistry in Year 1 before reading in Year 1. To find out more about CM1417 timetable, please go to URL: (4) From AY15/16 cohort onwards, students are supposed to take 5 GEM Modules from the following pillars, 1 from each pillar. Note: As the Asking Questions pillar for AY15/16 cohort is not ready, students will be required to read an additional module from either the Human Cultures or Singapore Studies or Thinking and Expression pillar to fulfil the new GE requirements. Five pillars: Human Cultures (GEH) Asking Questions (GEQ) (GER) Singapore Studies (GES) Thinking and Expression (GET) ESP students are recommended to complete their GEMs as early as possible.
