1 Curriculum Policy of the Graduate School of Science The educational and research objective of the Graduate School of Science, Kobe University is to contribute to the development of the social intellectual infrastructure by deepening understanding of nature through the study ofvarious fundamental areas in natural science. In the, each department sets its own educational and research goals, to nurture creative individuals who have extensive knowledge in their respective fields of specialty, and to promote their development of problem-solving skills and an interdisciplinary perspective. In addition to these, doctoral candidates of the Doctoral program are expected to obtain creative and original research capabilities. In order to achieve these goals, each department has implemented its own curriculum as illustrated in the following tables.
