22 Electro luminescent foils General aspects on life time prediction simulation of ageing at a higher rate, e.g. higher temperature, accelerated weathering defined criteria for the end of life necessary methods for calculation e.g. according to the law of Arrhenius exact prediction is impossible, the results only allow a rough estimation e.g. months or years

28 Summary Main points Climatic tests are an expressive method to show effects which will occur during the life time of a product Depending on the requirements, different tests have to be carried out for life time prediction The simulation of environmental conditions will be the challenge for the next years
