6 Proper Microscopy: From 4x to 10x 1. Secure the slide on the stage using the slide holders 2. Start with stage up, move down (coarse)until you see (oculars) the image, fine focus (fine) 3. Look from the side and bring 10x in place (revolving nosepiece) 4. Fine focus until the image is clear
