Chair Report Mark shared with the committee that at the next meeting there will be discussion about the new Public Health ADT and courses related to it. Jennie explained AOE (Area of emphasis) and an example is the two ADTs, Social Justice and Global Studies that are broad and multiple discipline pathways. Exception for Theater performance and production classes corequisite addition Molly requested an exception for the late prelaunch of 12 courses for Theater to change advisory courses to corequisites. THEA 132, THEA 133, THEA 135, THEA 136, THEA 149, THEA 150, THEA 151, THEA 152, THEA 232, THEA 233, THEA 234, THEA 238, stage crew and production courses. Jim Hormel explained the need for these changes for this Curriculum cycle and the impact for students, the department and their productions. It is an advantage for students to both at the same time. Outcome of Biology Department discussion about class size Nicole reported that the Biology faculty decision about class size is to continue with the current practice and did not sign a memorandum indicating any other terms. Fullerton College has a memorandum in place. There are other departments in Nursing, Psychiatric Technology, Dental, etc. that also have unusual class size issues with their programs and Curricunet listing of class size with lecture and lab. Mark asked the Reps to check with their faculty regarding memorandums and report back to the committee.
