3 Secondary Progressions Report INTRODUCTION: PROGRESSED CHART Your Personality Profile is revealed by the imprints of the planets in your NATAL Chart. The NATAL REPORT is a projection of "Personality Potential" and can be compared to a "Blueprint" of a building that is being planned for construction. At different stages of development while the building is being built, certain additions, deletions and/or other changes may become desirable (or even necessary) and the original blueprint may be modified to accommodate those changes. And so it is with your personality as indicated by your NATAL Chart. During the "building" of your life, your personality is being developed, and the imprints of the personality blueprint are being modified and/or changed, both by your own choices and by circumstances beyond your control. The progression of the planets as they continue their respective orbits into different signs and houses, and the aspects they form, are beyond our control. But we DO have some control over how we handle these new influences, and how we let them affect our personality. In order to deal with these influences, it certainly would help for us to know WHAT these influences are, and WHEN we will have to deal with them. The PROGRESSED REPORT provides that information: the WHAT, the WHEN, and (in some reports) the HOW. Now, for the first time, we have a Progressed Report that not only tells us WHAT, WHEN, and HOW--it also tells us HOW LONG! It locates the signs, the aspects, and the house positions for each of the planets for any given year of your life and tells you how long they will remain in those positions. With each of the interpretations for these progressed planetary positions, we include a brief synopsis of the influences and imprints of its position in your Natal Chart for your comparison. Many techniques for following the development of man from birth through life have been devised and studied by Astrologers since about the second or third century BC. The technique used in this Report is called "Secondary Progressions". This system uses the "Day for a Year" process which Page 3/30

4 appears to have been practiced since Ptolemy and Copernicus, and was supported by the German mathematician Johannes Kepler ( ). The system is implemented by choosing a specific birthday. We then count a day for each year of your life, and cast a chart for the "progressed birthday". The Progressed chart is the first chart used in Predictive Astrology, for it provides a good preview and overview of what you can expect in the coming year. We feel that the Progressed chart provides the first step toward using Astrology for a better and more fully informed way of living life -- AS IT UNFOLDS. When combined with information obtained from a "FORECAST REPORT", OR "TRANSIT REPORT", which interprets the aspects of the transiting planets (where the planets actually WILL be at any given time), we can get an extremely comprehensive body of predictive information for any "progressed year"--and beyond. Check with your personal Astrologer for information concerning these Reports. YOUR PROGRESSED ASCENDANT Like the Sun-sign, progressing the chart will change the sign on the cusp of the first house, your Ascendant. It will also bring influences of the new sign into play upon the personality in changing, modifying, and "blending" experiences. Each time a new sign "rises" on the first house, you may feel a little disoriented, especially during the first year or two. This is because different methods, or "styles" of operating in interpersonal and business transactions can vary considerably under the influence of different Rising signs. Since the Ascendant represents the face (the "Mask") we show the world, others may begin to see us in a different light before we become aware of any changes in ourselves. Page 4/30

5 Unlike the Sun's thirty-year cycle, the change cycles of the Ascendant may not be as predictable as the Sun, since the houses may have more, or less, than thirty degrees. Casting the chart for the place of residence instead of the birthplace can also affect the degree of the Ascendant. The exact time of changes from the birth chart Ascendant and from the progressed Rising-signs can be difficult to trace when changes of residence are extreme. The Rising sign in the Progressed chart determines the signs on the houses, just as it does in the Natal chart. Each time the Ascendant changes, the sign on the cusps of the other eleven houses may change, also. The interpretations of the signs on the houses will give some clues regarding the affairs of each house during the year for which the Progressed chart is cast. These signs on the cusps may not change very much from year to year unless you move your place of residence a significant distance from one geographic location to another. Your Progressed Ascendant is now at nineteen degrees of the sign, Libra. The following interpretations are for the current year and place of residence. PROGRESSED LIBRA RISING WITH NATAL ASCENDANT IN LEO--Leo is ruled by the Sun, the source of heat, energy, and light. It projects powerful influences into the lives of those born when Leo is rising. You appear to others to be dramatic, regal in bearing, and certainly in control of the situation. Leadership seems easy for you and you appear to exude an air of strength, dominance and individuality. Your enthusiasm and energies ARE high, and you may be impatient with those around you who are less inspired and slower than you. You also need to excel in what you do, and you admire others who are strong individuals like yourself. You are very giving and generous, but you expect recognition and appreciation for that which you give. You also expect the same loyalty and generosity to be reciprocated. 6 With Libra Rising in the PROGRESSED Chart, the focus will be upon balance and fair play with more sensitivity and receptivity. Ambition and goal orientation will probably remain the same, but some new ingredients are added to the recipe for achievement. You will begin to seek the cooperation of others in your professional efforts. Your diplomacy and ability to compromise could lead to success in law and politics. You need companionship during this progression. It will be extremely important for you to find the right kind of intimate relationship, so that you may have the love and harmony you so desperately need. This comes from not always being able to realize your true identity. Balance and harmony are constantly sought, and if not present in most of your life you may become extremely upset. You should avoid the use of alcohol or other drugs to relieve the pain of periods of disharmony in your life, lest they lead to the application of your talents in negative ways. PROGRESSED SCORPIO ON 2ND HOUSE--Pluto, the planet of power, regeneration and sudden change is ruler of Scorpio. Scorpio indicates a powerful potential for making money when it is found on the progressed second house of finances, money and worth. You are likely to be resourceful and energetic now in accumulating wealth, and to have the ability to transform ordinarily worthless things into something of real value. Aesthetic quality in your possessions will be of extreme importance to you. You are likely to spend money as freely as you make it and to be willing to share what you have with others during this time. However, you are not likely to suffer greatly for lack of finances. PROGRESSED SAGITTARIUS ON 3RD HOUSE--When this sign is on the progressed third house of communications, thinking mind and travel, Jupiter, the planet of expansion and luck can broaden the philosophies into many fields. You are likely to be concerned now with religions and the greater social order. You may travel often to new places and communicate with many different kinds of people during this time. This is a common configuration for artists and writers. PROGRESSED CAPRICORN ON 4TH HOUSE--Saturn, planet of limitations and discipline, is ruler of Capricorn. When this sign is on the cusp of the fourth house of home life and domesticity in the Progressed Chart, you will be influenced to keep your domestic affairs well organized. PROGRESSED AQUARIUS ON 5TH HOUSE--Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius and with this sign in the Progressed Chart and on the fifth house of romance and creative expression, anything can happen. Uranus is the first of the "higher octave" planets and it influences music, electronics, inventiveness, astrology, healing and genius potential. During this time, you are likely to be interested in things that are "different" from the traditional course of study; unique things, friends and group activities. Your children (of the body and/or the mind) are likely to show a blend of originality and mental discipline. In your artistic expression, structure could be a dominant theme during this progression. PROGRESSED PISCES ON 6TH HOUSE--Neptune, planet of dreams, vision and idealism, rules Pisces. When this sign is progressed to the sixth house of work, service, and health, emotional influences are quite heavy. You can be very unselfish toward those involved in your work, but will want to feel that your efforts do fulfill a need. There is a tendency to spread yourself too thin during this time, and you need to take care of your emotional health, since it can literally affect your physical health. You will be extremely intuitive now to the needs of others. PROGRESSED ARIES ON 7TH HOUSE--Mars, planet of energy, force, and aggressiveness, rules Aries. When progressed to the seventh house of marriage and partnerships, it indicates the need to be first and be the "strong one" in a relationship. You will respect a partner who can assert his/her own personality needs and communicate them to you in a way that your own identity is not threatened. You will need a strong partner, and will have little patience with a "clinging vine" type. Both parties will need to maintain a high activity level in partnership affairs during this time. PROGRESSED TAURUS ON 8TH HOUSE--This is the house of needs, the primal instinct, and other's resources. Taurus is ruled by Venus, planet of beauty, social activities, and the arts. When this sign is progressed to the eighth house it can encourage you to seek personal adornment because of your great love of beauty and things beautiful. PROGRESSED GEMINI ON 9TH HOUSE--Mercury, planet of communications and intellect, rules Gemini, and this sign progressed to the ninth house of philosophy, higher mind, religion, publishing, etc., indicates there may be much activity in these matters. You may like the orderliness of the traditional religions, but your active mind will encourage you to explore many ideas. You will like to discuss philosophy, and may even write and publish works relating to it during this progression. PROGRESSED CANCER ON 10TH HOUSE--Cancer is ruled by the Moon, giving power over collective emotions. In the Progressed chart, this emotional sign, ruled by this emotional planet on the tenth house of recognition, career, and honors can be very difficult, very rewarding, or both. The extreme sensitivity of this configuration can enhance careers in the arts, writing, and human services. Inspiration, intuition, empathy and understanding can provide rare talents. You will want to share your successes, but any failure, real or imagined, will be devastating. PROGRESSED LEO ON 11TH HOUSE--The Sun rules Leo, expressed energy through leadership, and when progressed to the eleventh house of friends, it indicates some very strong and powerful friendships, indeed. You will be drawn to friends with high intellect and creativity. You need their inspiration now, and they yours, so mutual needs are filled. Your friends may not be many in numbers during this progression, but in quality they will be unexcelled. PROGRESSED VIRGO ON 12TH HOUSE--Mercury, planet of communications and mental powers rules Virgo, the sign of order and details. When on the house of hidden meanings and the subconscious process in the Progressed Chart, much confusion and worry can result. The subconscious does not respond well to order and detail, and mental Mercury gives the conscious mind emphasis. The key here is to practice patience, prayer and meditation, and learn to let these three influences work together. What a wondrous gift if one could let Mercury communicate the subconscious matters of the twelfth house in the orderly fashion of Virgo to the open mental processes! Page 8/30

9 PROGRESSED SUN IN SIGN AND HOUSE POSITION The Sun moves forward (counter-clockwise) in the Progressed chart from its Natal position at the approximate rate of one degree for each year of life. This means that the Sun will progress into a different sign by, or before, age thirty. Remember that these Natal Sun-sign influences are with us all our lives in the form of birth imprints. In the Progressed chart, the new Sun-sign will influence, enhance, modify, and/or blend with those in the Natal chart--and so with any subsequent progressed Sun-signs. The influences may be most recognizable during the first year for which a Progressed chart has been cast after the Sun has moved into the next sign. Sometimes there can be events or situations which trigger significant life changes (relocation, graduation, job change, marriage, divorce, new home, etc.). Some of these could vividly high-light the influences of the Sun entering into a different sign. As you read this report, look back over your life and try to remember if there were any events that could have changed your directions or goals when the Sun entered a new sign. You can count back to 00 degrees from the Sun-Sign degree of this chart to find the year, letting each degree count as one year. Allow about three years on either side of that actual date. At the end of the thirty years that each new Sun-sign remains in the Progressed charts, the personality will have somewhat absorbed and assimilated the influences of all of these Sun-sign positions--and so with the new progressions to come. As in all Astrology, you have, and have had, free will to make choices. Those choices can be very significant in determining how much effect the Progressed Sun positions have in modifying your Personality Profile. Transiting planetary aspects to the Sun can also help you anticipate new influences and enhance the sense of timing. 10 Your Progressed Sun is now in the twentieth year of a 30-year cycle in the sign, Aries. You have about 11 years left in this life-cycle. PROGRESSED SUN IN ARIES WITH NATAL SUN IN AQUARIUS--The NATAL sun in Aquarius gives you a quiet, patient, determined, unobtrusive and faithful nature. You dislike imitation and hypocrisy in any form. You operate as an equal among equals, but you sometimes feel that others are unreceptive to you or that they are incapable of comprehending your ideas. You can become annoyed when people fail to understand you. You can be determined and stubborn and may even appear eccentric to others. Your interests and pursuits are more intellectual than physical, and you are not likely to be very sports minded. You may long for material possessions, but you are never greedy. You love the beauties of nature, but you like to admire them in comfort. You should be aware of a tendency to exaggerate your problems, as this could shadow your brightness and charm. These are the attributes that make you most attractive. You will insist upon living your own life as you see fit, even if that means ignoring convention and tradition. In personal relationships you cannot be owned or possessed, and, while you are willing to share yourself with another, you do not always adjust easily to the emotional give and take of a close relationship. When the Sun moves into the sign of Aries in your PROGRESSED Chart, it will have already progressed through the sign Aquarius and through all of the sign of Pisces. Many of the Aquarian imprints, such as the quiet, unobtrusive, and faithful nature would have been significantly enhanced by the Pisces influences. Others, such as your need for freedom and independence, your ambition, and your drive, could have been modified and toned down. Now, just as you have become more laid back and relaxed, along comes the extremely active PROGRESSED Aries Sun to shake up the mind and wake up the body! These influences will revive all of the idealism and impulsiveness that may be left over from Aquarius. The Aries influences will urge you to get out and get busy, to start something new--and maybe something else before that is finished. 11 Number-One" NEW relationship if you don't already have one (or, maybe even if you do). The strong desire influences and the urge for constant activity of the Aries Sun will be less extreme because of the latent influences of your NATAL Sun in Aquarius and the "progression" of the Pisces Sun. However, your ambition will be enhanced (possibly revived) and a drive toward success will be impressed upon the personality by this progression of the Sun in Aries. Romance could also revive (and survive) during this time. PROGRESSED SUN IN 7TH HOUSE--The house position of the Sun in the PROGRESSED Chart is also significant. Physically, the Sun rules the basic energy of the body as well as the energy of the psyche. Consequently, it can affect the physical and psychological vigor and enthusiasm with which we address the concerns of that house. While the Sun is progressing through the seventh house, you should learn more about yourself through one-to-one "Close Encounters" with others. As you become more conscious of how you operate within both working and personal relationships, you will understand more about the effects that you have upon others. The most important relationship to most of us is that one with a domestic partner, whether formalized by marriage or not. This is the time to examine that relationship and to determine what needs it does and does not fill in your life. Try to discover, also, how well you fill your partner's needs. For your own benefit, you must be as good for your partner as that partner is for you. This is not a time to go it alone in any type of activity. In business partnerships you may need the advice of special consultants, and in personal relationships you may need special counseling--perhaps even an Astrologer! In both instances, you need to talk to people who can give you independent perspectives against which to compare your own views of the situations. Conflict is always a possibility, and it can force you to look at your own position and to work on creative solutions. PROGRESSED MOON IN SIGN AND HOUSE POSITION Page 11/30

12 The close proximity of the Moon to the earth and its rotation around the earth causes it to pass between the earth and each sign of the Zodiac quite rapidly. It averages about thirteen degrees per day--a little less than three days per sign. Under the day-for-a-year progression system, it will take approximately thirty months, two-and-a-half years, for it to complete each life-cycle of the Moon. The Moon is the only "planet" that could show up more than once in a Progressed chart in the same sign in which it was found in the Natal chart. Although these natal influences "imprint" our personalities and are with us throughout our lifetime, when the Moon appears in the same sign in the Progressed chart, it can give us an opportunity to modify even those natal imprints to some extent. In the delineations for the Progressed Moon-signs, we will include the Natal Moon-sign interpretations. In mythology the Moon is always female--as the Sun is always male. In most ancient cults and religions, the Moon represents the female force which reflects the male force of the Sun. There were many ancient Lunar holidays and festivals. In modern religion, the date for the Easter holiday is still determined by the Moon's orbit. In astrology, "she" dispenses her influences indiscriminately upon male and female alike, though each sex is likely to respond to the influences in somewhat different ways. The Moon-sign influences in the Progressed chart will affect the emotional side of your personality as it was imprinted by the sign the Moon was in at birth and modified by subsequent progressed Moon-sign influences. The intensity of the changes can range from deeply sub-conscious to dramatically emotional. Your Progressed Moon is now at 21 degrees of an approximate two-and-a-half-year life cycle in the sign, Aries. You should have, roughly, 10 months left until it moves into the next Moon-sign cycle. 13 PROGRESSED MOON IN ARIES WITH NATAL MOON IN LIBRA--In NATAL Libra, the Moon indicates a strong sensitivity to the attitudes and reactions of others, especially marriage partners and close working partners. You dislike vulgarity, and there is a charm, grace, and elegance about your personal appearance and mannerisms. You are idealistic about what is fair and just and can get extremely emotional when conditions appear otherwise. You are probably a domestic person: you like a home life, and the home can become a "Home-base" for the rest of your activities. Your tastes are aesthetic and your home will be attractive if not downright elegant. You like people and constantly make new friends. You will not abide prejudice and enjoy companionship with people who share those traits with you. Intimate relationships are important to you, and you will be seeking emotional balance from them. You may have difficulty ending relationships which are not good for you, but if they don't work, you will need to learn how to let them go. Inharmonious relationships can actually have an adverse effect upon your health, for you need the approval of others. Your ambitions may wax and wane from hot to cold. You are a good communicator and mediator. Human services could be your field. Many judges have Libra strongly placed in their Natal chart. You may need to be careful about becoming a little fanatic about what is fair and just. You are likely to be courteous, gracious, and kind to everyone--and you want the same from them. You can excel in public relations, and your home is likely to be the gathering place for social activities. You need to watch for excessive dependence upon others for emotional security. When the Moon moves into Aries in the PROGRESSED Chart, your methods for getting things done will become more ambitious and aggressive. You are more inclined toward a volatile and emotionally impulsive period. You could begin to behave in precipitous ways without considering the consequences. You can have sudden flare-ups of temper, but they are likely to be temporary and soon over. You may become more independent, going it your own way, right or wrong; and, you will not tolerate interference from others. You may even try to dominate others in relationships, and you will take the reactions of others quite personally. Good relationships can become more romantic and rewarding during this time, but if they are already in trouble, they are likely to be terminated. New romances can be extremely exciting. You need to learn to use these aggressive influences in positive and acceptable ways. Try to develop more consideration for the feelings of others. Learn to be "assertive" rather than aggressive. "Lighten-up" should be your keyword now. Practice patience and learn to curb your impulsive decisions and control your behavior. PROGRESSED MOON IN 7TH HOUSE--The Moon in the houses indicates the areas of daily Page 13/30

14 activity through which your feelings are manifested, and gives clues to the type of activity on the domestic scene. The Moon will pass through all the houses of the Natal Chart approximately every twenty-eight days, making its daily and hourly influences very fleeting. In this Progressed Chart house however, it provides another turning point, moving away from self-improvement influences, and emerging into public expression. There could be new partnerships--or renewed and invigorated relationships, resulting from the period when the Moon crossed the fourth house cusp. You can get to understand your emotional self better through understanding your personal relationships more completely. PROGRESSED SUN-MOON SIGN COMBINATION As in the Natal Chart, the blend of the Progressed Sun-Moon influences are extremely significant toward understanding the modification of the personality from that which was indicated by the Natal Chart. We urge you to review the interpretation in your Natal Chart. The interpretation of the Progressed Sun-Moon blend is printed next. Study it carefully, in addition to the delineations of Sun in Sign, Sun in House, Moon in Sign, and Moon in House. We suggest that you compare them also with the same interpretations in your Natal Chart. PROGRESSED: ARIES SUN AND ARIES MOON--Aries is a fire sign in the Cardinal mode, ruled by Mars. Both the lights in the same sign could also be in conjunction. With the Mars energy, the Aries influences will be in extremely strong focus during this progression. Some descriptive words and phrases are: independence, self-confidence, self-awareness, extreme individualism, ready expression, impulsive, and possibly egocentrism. You will be influenced by the following delineation for Sun conjunct Moon during this life cycle as follows: "This conjunction combines action with the creative impulses, especially in the domestic scene. 15 uncomfortable union of the will and the feelings, causing emotional impulsiveness combined with concentrating all of your energy in one area of expression. You need to beware of over-activity and over-stimulation to avoid depleting your physical vitality. You may vacillate between feminine and masculine roles with the possibility of sudden changes from passive to aggressive actions and communications. Practice patience--this can be a powerful aspect when you learn to use the power of the will to provide proper action as dictated by your feelings." PROGRESSED MERCURY IN SIGN AND HOUSE POSITION Mercury in the signs gives clues to the kinds of concerns that occupy your mind and reveals your psychological approach to making decisions and conveying your ideas to others. Mercury influences the kind of communications you have with other people throughout the year: those received as well as those you send. It indicates shifts in mental focus and intellectual attention as they are impacted by the influences of the Progressed sign. It can also indicate travel, such as short trips which don't upset the daily routine too much. You can usually count on not being bored by Mercury influences, and the daily routine is more likely to be intensified rather than subdued. On another level, Mercury IS the every day routine, indicating everything we are so accustomed to that we don't even notice it. On still another level, it may indicate a time when you should just sit and think. Mercury takes a little less than thirty years to progress through the thirty degrees of each sign, so we may have a little "stretch" or a little "overlap" of influences when using the day-for-a-year progression system. We have tried to adjust the degree of Mercury in its current Progressed sign to give you some rough idea of how long it will be until it enters the next Progressed sign. 16 Aries. You could have, roughly, 30 years left in this cycle. PROGRESSED MERCURY IN ARIES WITH NATAL MERCURY IN AQUARIUS--When Mercury is in Aquarius in your NATAL Chart, you are likely to have a fondness for science, as well as the occult and the metaphysical. This position of Mercury indicates a mind that is open to new experience; truthful, unbiased and objective. You seek mental stimulation through friendship, and convey your ideas well in group and organizational work. You are a progressive thinker, open and receptive to new technologies and the latest discoveries in any field. You have no patience for those whose conservative, unimaginative outlook limits their capacity toward finding solutions for a better future. You have strong humanitarian impulses. Your universal ideas may be Utopian and much tuned in to the "Age of Aquarius", so you can totally accept and support the concept of one world united through the love and cooperation of all peoples. Before entering Aries, Mercury had earlier passed through the sign of Pisces, a time which the vim and vigor of the NATAL Aquarian imprints, and would have introduced a more "laid-back" attitude. Intuition would have been heightened, and the tendency to wait for things to happen would become the mode of operation. Concern and caring for the welfare of others was enhanced and there was a greater interest in social affairs. When Mercury is found in the sign of Aries in the PROGRESSED Chart, your way of thinking is inclined to be decisive and competitive. You may like to debate and argue. Unlike the Pisces influences, you think quickly and are impatient with opposition and delays during this time. Most of the imprints of your NATAL Mercury in Aquarius will be revived and enhanced. Ambition and the drive for personal achievement and material success will be renewed. You will have many original ideas, but may be impulsive when making decisions and not always consistent in following through. Relationships may be rejuvenated and some new ones are likely to begin. You will be more assertive and self-directed during this life cycle. It would be good if you can hang on to some of the laid-back tendencies of the Mercury in Pisces life cycle. 17 PROGRESSED MERCURY IN 6TH HOUSE--Mercury in the houses deals with the practical affairs that occupy your mind, and shows what areas of activity will be influenced by your thoughts and communications. When it changes houses, it indicates shifts in mental focus and attention. In the sixth house, it indicates that specialized knowledge and skills will be acquired to deal with the kind of work you do. You are methodical and efficient and will keep up with the latest research and techniques in your field. You are concerned with duty, personal hygiene and correct dress. You may have a tendency to overwork during this progression, and need to watch out for excessive perfectionism. PROGRESSED VENUS IN SIGN AND HOUSE POSITION Venus in the signs indicates how you express your emotions in personal relationships. It also influences your attitudes toward money, personal possessions, creature comforts, and social and aesthetic values. Venus is a social planet, usually bringing people together for parties and good times. It is also the planet of LOVE, and its impressions combined with the influences of the signs can tell you quite a bit about your experiences in love and romance. It is also the planet of creativity: of artistic talent and entertainment. The influences of the different signs of the Zodiac can help to dictate the forms of expression indicated to display these talents. The annual orbit of Venus is usually only five or six days away from the orbiting time of the Sun, so it fits the day-for-a-year progression system quite well.
