For: Becoming the Hero of Your Story With Christy Hall. Christy will be speaking about how her own progressed New Moon began a journey of discovery that shaped a new way of chart interpretation involving storytelling, which helps clients make choices in their lives and understand their present circumstances in a new light. She will explain what a secondary progressed new moon actually is, its significance, and give three examples of this time n film, a client s life and her own story. She will share the shift of chart interpretation as personality characteristics to perceiving the natal chart as a description of life purpose. Through the use of the lunation cycle within the secondary progressed chart she weaves the recent past events to the current time so that a person has an understanding of where they just were, where they are now and where they are about to go so that there is meaning and orientation to their life story. 2 AstroPsychology program taught by Glenn Perry, and has been a practicing astrologer since She teaches a class on the Lunar Phases Technique, and she presented a truly awesome lecture on Manifesting Venus to us last year. Previous Meetings- Our June meeting topic was changed at the last minute due to an accident in Dallas, where our speaker, Kimberly broke her ankle in 3 places! She was in surgery at the time of the meeting. We wish her well and speedy healing! Instead, we were able to cover several issues regarding the ASNT bylaws and upcoming changes to ASNT, including a new format where we do chart discussion every other month instead of speakers. This will not begin until We had 3 volunteers for the board, who joined us at our board meeting on June 25th. At the board meeting a new membership fee schedule was agreed upon that will be astrologically based, and the motion was carried to start renewing membership in March. We agreed that it would be fun to have a group of ASNT members go to the upcoming UAC convention in 2018, which will be in Chicago. Let us know if you would like to be included!. Future Meetings: In August we will have Vedic astrologer, Joni Patry giving us The Secrets of Prediction: How to Predict World Events. Joni has published many books, journals, and has appeared on national and international television shows, and has been a keynote speaker for international conferences. Page 2

3 President s Message July 2016 The winds they are a changing! As you may have heard, the Board has been busy with evaluating our monthly format for speakers, cleaning up the by-laws and the dues structure, as well as finding a more centrally located meeting space. But one thing at a time! As was presented at the June meeting, we are looking at a meeting format similar to what other astrological organizations in Texas have adopted. This will give us an opportunity to dial into subject matter at a deeper level rather than our present format, that sometimes comes to us rather cold turkey, and in and out the door of our rented space in hours. The proposed new format utilizes an alternating schedule starting with Group Discussions/Group Exercises one month, then the next month having an invited and paid speaker delving deeper into the subject. If we find this is a subject matter that the group wants to explore even further, then we can entertain hosting a workshop/symposium. To keep costs down, we will look into doing this via Skype or other on-line camera based communication format if the lecturer is at a distance not congruent to easy Texas travel. So as we organize, expand, and transform which will eventually grow our organization, (Jupiter in Virgo in 8 th house & Uranus in Aries in the 2 nd house; ASNT s current transits) we are going to need YOUR input! With astrology, there is an endless subject matter list, and we will need to find out your educational interests. So please give some thought to this, as we will need to plan out next year s programs and line up speakers before their schedules fill up. 4 Making sure a planet is direct and in good aspect for activities represented by its rulership, we find that- is favored by Jupiter, as he is in Cancer, Jupiter s sign of exaltation, and the Moon pulls his generous, confident energy from Gemini on July 1st to 0 degrees Pisces on July 22nd. After that, all bets are off and he starts pulling his own weight in his own sign of Leo. The Sun is quincunx Saturn July 2nd, trine Neptune July 3rd, conjunct Mercury July 6th, opposes Pluto July 7th, is sextile Jupiter July 10th, and is square Uranus and trine Mars July 16th. The Earth will be at aphelion, the farthest point from the Sun on July 4th. in Cancer, is quincunx Saturn July 4th and trine Neptune July 6th, the same day that he makes a superior conjunction to the Sun, passing into the evening sky. Mercury is opposite Pluto on the 7th, sextile Jupiter on the 8th, trine Mars on the 10th, and square Uranus on the 11th. Mercury ingresses to Leo on the 14th. On July 16 Mercury will conjunct Venus in the evening sky. He is trine Saturn and quincunx Neptune on the 19th, and is quincunx Pluto the 22nd, trine Uranus the 27th, and square Mars on the 29th, the same day he moves into Virgo. This month Venus moves out from the brilliant glare of the Sun to shine her light as an evening star again. She is trine Mars on the 6th. Venus is square Uranus July 7th, ingresses to Leo July 12th, trine Saturn July 20th, quincunx Neptune July 21st, quincunx Pluto July 24th, and trine Uranus on the 31st. Continues to pull rebellious Uranian energy through Scorpio from 23 to 29 degrees, and is quincunx Uranus July 14th. It is 2nd to Jupiter this month in brightness in the evening sky. Continues through Virgo from 17 to 22 degrees. It will be the brightest star in the evening sky all month. By the end of July it will sink below the horizon. Be sure to check out the pictures sent from the spacecraft Juno that is to reach Jupiter on July 4th. Continues retrograde through Sagittarius from 11 to 9 degrees. has been conjunct the troublemaker Eris at 23 degrees Aries. On the 29th he will station retrograde at 24 degrees Aries. Continues retrograde through Pisces at 11 degrees. Continues retrograde through Capricorn from 16 to 15 degrees. Page 4

5 Fixed Stars prominent in Orlando shooting chart- On June 12, 2016 a shooting took place in Orlando, Florida. The gunman, Omar Mateen, started shooting in the well-known nightclub Pulse at 2:01 AM. Note the rising degree, 29 degrees Pisces. This degree is conjunct the fixed star Scheat, symbolizing misfortune, and exactly squares the upcoming full moon degree 29 degrees Sagittarius, which was conjunct the malefic fixed star Sinistra. Local Moon for July~ New Moon July 4th at 12 degrees, the full moon is July 19, at 27 degrees. The moon is a developing power and the final aspect indicates outcome of any venture under consideration. In selecting the day and hour for taking an action we base our decision to act or not on what she advises according to her final aspect when all is said and done If she is void of course the matter is also inactive with no harm done.
