Janma Lagna Balam Strength of the Ascendant: The strength of the horoscope is the most important determinant of the quality of life to be enjoyed by the subject of the horoscope. It is therefore essential to make an accurate and critical assessment of this factor before proceeding with the analysis of the various dimensions and aspects of the horoscope of an individual. The Atmakaraka planet is the defining planet of the subject of the horoscope. A numerical value assessment is carried out for determining the individual strengths of each of the aforesaid horoscope strength components which is summed up to arrive at the total horoscope strength of the subject s horoscope. This total strength is expressed as a percent of the total potential strength to get the horoscope strength factor. Numerical values are assigned to each of the strength components as per the following Table of Strength Values :- Strength Very Weak Weak Moderate Strong Very Strong Strength Assigned Value The horoscope strength factor calculated as described here-in-earlier shall be categorized as given below: 0% to 25% - Below average horoscope strength; 25% to 45% - Average horoscope strength; 45% to 55% - Moderate horoscope strength; 55% to 65% - Good horoscope strength; 65% to 85% - Very good horoscope strength; 85% and above Excellent horoscope strength.

2 Assessment of the strength of Xxxx s horoscope:- The strength of Xxxx s horoscope shall be arrived at by assessing the strengths of the six horoscope strength components and adding them up to get the total horoscope strength and the horoscope strength factor as explained here-in-above. 1.Assessment of the strength of Xxxx s Birth Ascendant :- Xxxx is having the sign Simha as the Birth Ascendant in ---- horoscope. Simha is ruled by Sun (Ravi) which is situated in its enemy house hence Ravi has lost some of its natural strength. Ravi is however aspected by positive and friendly planet Jupiter (Brihaspati) which restores some of its lost strength. Assessment of the strength of Xxxx's Janma Rasi (Moon sign):- Xxxx's Janma Rasi is Mithun. The Lord of Mithun Rasi Budh is located in the House of illness and opposition which weakens Xxxx's Janma Rasi. The aspect of the benefic Brihaspati on Chandrama gets negated by the unhelpful aspects of malefic Rahu, Ketu and Mangal as well as that of enemy Sukra thereby leaving Chandrama and consequently the Janma Rasi in a weak condition. Assessment of the strength of the Ninth House of Xxxx s horoscope :- In Xxxx's horoscope the ninth house is ruled by Mangal which as stated earlier has joined its enemy Sukra and the malefic Ketu in the House of liability and destruction. Mangal too is receiving the benefic aspect of Brihaspati but that provides little relief to Mangal due to the greater influence of negative factors of bad location and unhealthy association of enemy Sukra and malefic Ketu. Thus Mangal remains weak and so does the ninth house too. As a result the ninth house is assigned a strength value of 1 as per the table of numerical strength values. 6. Assessment of Xxxx's Atmakaraka s strength in ---- horoscope:- Xxxx's Atmakaraka planet is the benefic Brihaspati which is good and the Atmakaraka Brihaspati is placed in its sign of exaltation which too is favourable but unfortunately Brihaspati is located in the House of outgo and expenses which takes away some strength of the Atmakaraka. 3 7.Total strength of Xxxx's horoscope as assessed in points 1 to 6 here-in-above :- The total strength of Xxxx s horoscope as determined for the six individual strength factors is = 10. The total possible strength of the six factors taken together is 6 strength factors X maximum value of each strength factor-4 = 24. The strength of Xxxx's horoscope expressed as a percentage of the total possible strength = 10/24 X 100 = 41.66%.
