Thank you for your support DENNIS: Hi Lilou. LILOU: How are you doing today? DENNIS: Good, good. Nice and beautiful here in Sedona. LILOU: Oh my goodness. Sedona, I love this part of the world, so beautiful. DENNIS: Yeah, looks like it d be a lot of people coming here as we move towards the December 21 st date. LILOU: Is that right? Maybe because of all the Drunvalo predictions. DENNIS: Hmm-mm, I think so. LILOU: So you re a, we did already some interviews and I met you in person and I enjoyed speaking with you here and there. You re a Vedic astrologer and a astrocartographer, if I can say it this way, is that right? DENNIS: That s correct. LILOU: So I would love to hear from you your predictions for this end of the year because we re in mid-end September and we re approaching this big date of the 21 st of December of So a lot of people are fearful also, hopeful some of them. What is your, remind us first of all how you see vedic astrology and how this is different from regular astrology and what can you see in addition to regular astrology here for the coming months.

2 DENNIS: Right. Your viewers, Vedic or Hindu astrology is based on the sidereal zodiac. So it s more of an astronomer s point of view, there s about, right now actually there s a 24 degree difference between the 2 systems. So actually to calculate a Vedic chart, you would subtract 24 degrees from the planetary energies. For example from your chart, let s just us this as an example, you re born August 20 th, so in Western astrology, you re Leo, I think around 27 degrees, something like that. Vedic astrology because we subtract 23, 24 degrees, you actually stay in Leo, so you re a true Leo. Whereas for some people, like myself, that is a Virgo in tropical astrology or Western astrology, I actually go in the Leo, so this is one main reasons why I studied Vedic astrology is I get to be a Leo. LILOU: Nice. My Leo friend. DENNIS: Yeah. So we re both Leos now. I call it humorously when you do your intervedic chart, I call it getting an astrological make over. So if you look like your western chart, you can try see the Vedic system, see how that ends. LILOU: That s brilliant. DENNIS: Yeah, but it works you know. Another example would be like Michael Jackson. He s a Virgo in western astrology which you could see that. But in Vedic astrology, his sun sign goes into Leo, so he literally becomes the king of pop. It s interesting. He and Madonna, their birthdays are only about I think 15 days apart, same year. So it s interesting we have the king of pop and the queen of pop. And she has like triple Leo on her Vedic chart, so she is flaming Leo energy. But the other major thing too, I wanted to say about Vedic astrology is we use the dashes or the planetary cycles in one s life and these cycles are based on a specific position of the moon at birth, the exact degree and minute. So interesting then your chart, you re making a huge shift, huge major shift as we go in to looking at this around May of 2013, you re completing a whole cycle of Saturn, which is a 19 year cycle. So cycle of, however you say the shear footed goat climbing the mountain step by step LILOU: 19 years is pretty long so knowing I m 35, yeah that s big cycle. DENNIS: Yeah, it s a long cycle and you shift in to Mercury. And so it s almost like you laid the foundation for your work, you ve done the effort and the work and now it s kind of like moving more into Mercury which can bring you a lot of, you have interest, a lot more in writing, there could be

3 writing really strongly whether it s LILOU: It s already starting, I could tell you that. I feel very strongly lately about writing. DENNIS: And the actually the way it s, it s like when you get to the end of the cycles, it s like what we call Dashashangi[?], it s like moving from one major cycle into the other. So it is kind of, we call it state of liminality as you re moving literally from one door away to the next. Sometimes I use the analogy of you maybe like climbing a mountain and giving to a certain plateau and like looking over shoulder kind of assessing what you have accomplished during this last 19 years and then getting ready to move through the gate into this whole new phase of your life and maybe dropping some pancakes that Saturn baggage that doesn t need to be taken. LILOU: Yes, please, I sign up for that. DENNIS: And I should say that from the Vedic stand point, Saturn is the most important planet for spiritual growth because Saturn teaches us discipline, grounding, structure, and most importantly humility, like true humility in the sense of not self appraising or self deprecation but really honoring the importance of surrendering to the will, we could say the divine and giving us really strongly in touch with our dharma which seems like what you do which is really love. LILOU: I love it. I love it so much. It s so fulfilling in my heart to do this. DENNIS: So these cycles are major part of the Vedic system. My western astrology friends, they learn the Vedic astrology to know the cycles and they find that to be helpful although again you can get into a little trouble by using them in the western system without knowing the Vedic system fairly well because you need to look at the planets and cycles from the Vedic chart. I think it s important to do that, otherwise you can kind of create goolash like bringing the 2 cycles together a little bit unless you re careful. LILOU: So what do you have to say for all of us in general, what does Vedic astrology tell us about the next months as we re ending this 2012 cycle or year? DENNIS: Well it s interesting around the first part of October, the planet Jupiter which is the guru planet is going retrograde and it ll be retrograde for several months until we get into early And the Jupiter retrograde can force us in a loving, nagging way to go within, to really go within ourselves.

4 That doesn t mean we can t have external teachers and things but it s almost like you know you have to find the guru within. As a matter of fact, I really think there are a few true gurus in the world and definitely have people, like still under Buddha or Krishna, others that are Mohammad, others that are keen to bring the truth, but specially Sedona and I love Sedona, I ve been here 18 years, but anybody that claims they are guru, I ll burn them like hell because a true guru would not have to claim it. So this Jupiter retrograde again in a loving way, not just as to move more within and sometimes there s a lot of experience, there s nudging, gentle pushings into the area that we need to go into. If we don t listen to that call, then sometimes we get what we call fear streaks, where we can certainly put it until [??] days. And that it s maybe better to get gentle loving grace than have to go through such fear streaks. LILOU: Yeah. Do you see anything related to truth coming out or everything because we see in France a lot of things about Monsanto and seeds and all kind of things that have been really hidden by big media or not spoken about are starting to come up, are you seeing that in general that there is this tendency? DENNIS: Yes. LILOU: The transparency and we want that and it feels like something is emerging right now. DENNIS: Well, what s been happening too at the same time earlier this summer is the planet Saturn started to move into its exalted sign or its best sign. So Saturn as we mentioned earlier is the planet of truth or consequences. So that Saturn going through Libra in the Vedic system will be there in a couple more years. And so Saturn being as exalted sign can exactly be what you re talking about just bringing things to surface so we have to deal things and on the global level as well is our personal life. For example, when Katrina hit which was of course a number of years ago, we could look at it not only symbolical but it was happening outside which was travesty but what is going on inside, how we ourselves are leaking oil, how we ourselves need to face our shadow within as well as without. Another thing too around the election time in the United States, the planet Mercury which is the planet of communication, teaching, counseling, consulting, advising, you can say even counting votes, it was retrograde that evening on the east coast at 6pm. If you remember the last election, it went [??] was around, was in the year November 2000, that was the election with Gore and Bush where they re hanging [??] and the whole thing came down to the popular vote. I m not predicting

5 that that necessarily has to happen again because I m not really doing it in person but let s just say we may need to prepare for that and to look at that process again of just how the votes are counted would be very careful because I feel like there could be some major problem that occurs again in the electoral voting and counting. LILOU: Was there any predictions or prophecies from the Hindus or from the Vedics regarding this time, theis present time? Or is it again not the same date because everything has shifted. DENNIS: I think that, of course we draw upon the Mayan prophecy and the hopi prophecy which to me there is such a connection between East Indian and the West Indian cultures going way back in time that actually one teacher from India, she calls Sedona, Sedona which means the land of the Rishis[?] and so I think that there s also this connection coming on strongly between east and west as we speak and I really actually I think of the Native American prophecy, the Hopi prophecy of saying during these times we ll be called upon to paraphrase, to jump off the river bank and to go dive into the river, swim to the middle of the stream, find our sanga, find our community and then to flow downstream. And there s a similar prophecy in East India as well that really even though we re all one with the world and all that, that we re also being called upon strongly to create more sanga in community so what I would see on a general level what s gonna happen more and more as things intensify, it s going to force again, it can nudge us in that direction or maybe even force us to find create more cooperative community, create more intentional community which a lot of that is going on in my understanding and you re up in has been different community is that have been created and I think that continued to exhilarate during this times. And most of my experience personally as well is with my clients is that kind of quickening, that moving at such a fast pace. And what we re called upon to do in a way is to slow down and as Eckhart Tolle would say, practicing the power of now, being in the present moment. LILOU: That s all there is. Yeah. DENNIS: Because if we live in the past, quite often we go into melancholy or depression and then if we live in the future, we go usually into anxiety. LILOU: Yeah.

6 DENNIS: The present is kind of our haven in a way. LILOU: Yeah. Beautiful. DENNIS: And Eckhart teaches you know letting go of resistance to present moment. But as one of my teachers in India says when a mad elephant s coming at you, you gotta get the hell out of the way. So, common sense is a lot and I think too with astrology, I think we have to be careful with the use of astrology because sometimes we get so hung up in the stars and thinking our lives are fated in that type of thing that we miss the picture of what s really going on and I work with, for example astrocartography, which either Western or Vedic astrology, it doesn t matter you get the same map. And I always to people, you can have great lines in Afghanistan but not necessarily that you wanna live there. So again common sense is a lot and I always tell people when they have really strong lines somewhere to check it out in the clear light of day but maybe go there a couple of times before they would actually move there. LILOU: Yeah. I remember when we did my cartography, you told me I had a lay line crossing Maui which is a tiny island, it s true. It s so small in the overall picture of the world and I ll be heading back there in a few days, I ll be there and it s exciting to be in that place in the region of Hawaii, beautiful land. To me, that s very special and I feel a lot of us are called to go to different places and move. People wanna move and there s a certain calling to go in places like Sedona, for sure and even in another city in the same country but move around. Do you feel that s part also of the clean up, if I could say that needs to happen? DENNIS: Yeah, I think it s like in real estate, they say location, location, location, that it s finding your place in the sun and each of the lines has their influence. I don t know if your viewers can even see this at all. LILOU: Yeah, if you can bring it up. DENNIS: This is your map of Hawaii. See it goes right in the center of Maui that we talked about last time and it just so happens to be in the Southern midheaven line, which is career, so it gives you that focus there and you ve been in the Saturn cycle for 19 years, so how that works again is that Saturn can bring some real betterment for you there, meeting major people, setting a certain foundation for

7 your work there. LILOU: And certainly we ll welcome another interview with Dr. Wayne Dyer that lives in Maui. I love it. I saw him 2 days ago in Glasgow but I just can t get enough. DENNIS: You know as I see you laugh I think the other thing is the importance of whatever you re doing just to have enthusiasm. LILOU: Yeah. DENNIS: Feel that enthusiasm and then to enjoy what we re doing and that even when challenging things are coming at us to be able to deal and see that those things are gifts even though we can only have to use practical, I like to say as one of my teachers, Angela [??] says, we need to learn a lot the mystical path with practical feet. LILOU: And a good laughter. DENNIS: Yeah. And humor seems to be that seems to be a huge cornerstone of the spiritual path. LILOU: Yeah. I was having this conversation with Steve Taylor in Manchester a few days ago and he said that I see the, if a person speaks too seriously about spirituality, I can t go away because for him, it s part of the laughter and the lightness. Actually he spent some time with Eckhart Tolle lately, just came back from doing some on Eckhart TV, had the conversation with Eckhart there on camera in Vancouver and he said, he s becoming more and more funny each day. It s just like getting his own little humor out and it s so pleasant. Yeah. DENNIS: Well it s funny. I just got an about a week from the astrological society in Scottsdale and they want me to come down and do like a half hour of humor for their group. I love Sedona but there is so much, how would we say, interesting humorous things that belong here but there is, actually it is the Sedona the move that s been out now for about a year actually you can get. LILOU: I haven t seen it. DENNIS: It s a comedy, it s very funny. The idea exactly is to keep that sense of humor. It s such a huge cornerstone during this time also on the plane as we work through a lot of the challenging

8 aspects as well. The other factor that actually in terms of challenging aspects, then again there can be wonderful things that can happen through this but for me, in some ways, November is kind of, how would we say it, kind of more a challenging month in certain ways. Not just the election which will heat things up in the United States, definitely as we move towards November 6 th, but following that in the next week, there s a solar eclipse that occurs on the 13 th. And so again that s 13 that afternoon. LILOU: Tuesday. DENNIS: It s on Tuesday, yeah, 13 and so that solar eclipse in Western astrology is in Scorpio. It s just kind of an intense sign for the moon. And again the solar eclipse is when the sun and the moon come together so they re on the same degree and in the Vedic astrology, what we call Sunday again, they re right in the end of Libra going into Scorpio. So again, it s kind of a vulnerable time. So in India they would say that s a great time to be meditating, to be inward, not a great time for example to get married or start a business. It s like we re retrograde with the edge with the kind of plutonium kind of deeper edge. But it can be great for doing inner work and very powerful transformative, just a little more dicey on the external point. That makes sense. So we have that coming up. And I am kind of a neo-vedic astrologer, so I like to use the outer planets to the extent, a lot of traditional Vedic astrologers do that which is fine, but we have also, of course this is going quite often on for a while now but we have the planet Uranus and Pluto, they re squaring each other, which I think that s also an aspect of that you talked about earlier of bringing kind of secrets to the surface. Like Uranus, we can think of the promethean myth of bringing fire to earth, bringing change in innovation and Pluto is kind of the underworld, the under belly of the things on one level. It s also perfect wealth that could come through Pluto. But it usually indicates bringing things up to surface as you mentioned. And I think they go into an exact square right around May the 20 th of LILOU: Okay. DENNIS: So as we move towards that again, things may intensify in terms of some of the areas that you talk about. I think the applying square of Uranus to Pluto was around 1930 so it could have been indicated the depression that we through. However, this is a separate thing square so it doesn t necessarily have to mean that kind of level. If we don t handle it right, it could shift into things like that as we re all aware because we re playing with the monopoly game here which has been there for

9 decades. It is intensifying as you were saying coming to surface more fully. Don t know if that makes sense but that s how I m seeing it so in this separating square from Uranus moving away from Pluto doesn t have to be so harsh. It can be again more of pushing, nudging in a way to bring about these changes. LILOU: Beautiful. Thank you so much Dennis. Thank you for this update. Feels good. DENNIS: One last thing I wanna say to you, I don t know if you have this in your plans but over the next few months, you have some strong lines of coming through the Los Angeles area. So just in case in a good way, these are really positive lines coming through, and just in case in your journeys, your travels, having to swing through there, it may bring some betterment for you in terms of career and good opportunities and lastly, these lines, how they can work, is indicate those people from those areas bring betterment. So like Wayne Dyer, I guess you re saying he lives in Maui, you know, so you can go there of course which is great but you can also experience the benefit from him even when you re away from that. LILOU: I do. Last year, he said to check out the videos that I do on the internet and the ones I did in particular with Anita so he s been, that video, just doing that video with him has been tremendous in many ways for a lot of us. You can see it. I m going through 2 times but it s the airport, I stop few hours. DENNIS: Maybe something that creates some energy there for you and over the next couple of years really. It s a sun mid heaven line, it s going through Los Angeles area and for example Yogananda had his sun mid heaven line going right through Los Angeles where he found his work. So just know that and also to put there s going through your 7 th house right now as we speak which is relationships. So it can be personal relationships but also can indicate your partnering with other people. Although because the Leo is always good for you to have your own, you be the boss. LILOU: Yeah. DENNIS: So be careful with legal binding contracts in terms of partnerships. Anyway, bottom line is you have some really strong compliments of lines also going through LA and San Diego the next couple of years. So somehow you may wanna weave that energy into play if that works out.
